Celebrating its 65th anniversary, Rico’s Window Coverings & Films has deep roots in the Sacramento region and today provides superior window covering products and services in the construction industry. Unsurpassed customer care, three generations of expertise and 65 years in the business set this company apart.

In 1958, Rico and Betty Morotti launched the business in their Sacramento home, specializing in custom draperies. In 1986, they built and established operations in a 12,000-square-foot facility at the Sacramento-Rancho Cordova border, where the company still operates today. “Rico’s has evolved over our many decades,” says Alissa Morotti Koeth, granddaughter of the founders. “We transitioned from
manufacturing traditional custom draperies to partnering with the world’s leading suppliers for commercial and residential window coverings and window film and can now provide solutions to satisfy a wide range of customers and scenarios.”

The company’s legacy is a top priority to our family and leadership team and providing the best products and excellent customer service is paramount.

– ALISSA MOROTTI KOETH

Rico J. Morotti, the founders’ son and father of Alissa Morotti Koeth and Rico A. Morotti, diversified and grew the business with his wife Antoinette at his side. He took over the company in the early 1990s. He formed lasting relationships, took on more commercial work and personally handled the window coverings in the State Capitol as well as many other prominent local buildings. He also introduced
window film, the ideal complement to window coverings, into the business.

“The company’s legacy is a top priority to our family and leadership team and providing the best products and excellent customer service is paramount,” says Alissa, who guides the business with her brother, Rico A. Morotti, and her husband, Michael Koeth, as the newest shareholders. “Each of our sales team members has extensive industry knowledge and significant experience in the field.”
Despite the changes and economic challenges encountered over 65 years, this family company has continued to survive and thrive. Looking ahead, they plan to continue strengthening and
building relationships with customers while carefully expanding the business to serve the region for decades to come.
